Salamander Designs, well-known for its modern furniture, seating and mounting products for Home Theater and A/V entertainment systems, will showcase a pair of ultra-practical seating products, the Jump Seat Ottoman and the Storage Ottoman, at the 2008 CES next month in Las Vegas. The inimitable Jump Seat Ottoman unfolds to expose a hide-away theater seat, which works as a secondary or extra seat for watching movies or playing video games. The Storage Ottoman unfolds to reveal a spacious compartment for keeping game systems and accessories, DVDs and other media. Both the products also function as traditional ottomans, cushioned surfaces, which could be converted into a luxurious chaise lounge. The Jump Seat comes with a patent pending mechanism that helps the top rise into a vertical position slickly, thereby revealing a padded seat and backrest. On the seat?s right-hand side, there is a cup holder and a small compartment for remote controls or game controllers. The Jump Seat Ottoman and the Storage Ottoman will be offered in 14 leathers, 10 Microsuedes, or a mishmash of both.
